Day 9: Cat

I discovered that getting autofocus on dark subjects in tough. A bit of research shows that (most) DSLRs use ‘phase detection’ autofocus. This involves splitting the incoming light and then adjusting the focus until the phase between the two sets is minimised. Because dark subjects reflect less light, autofocus is harder to achieve. I switched to manual focus in some instances to try to overcome this.
